Last month, Amanda and I had a fun shoot at Coffee Bar in Gastown! Here are a few of my favourites from the afternoon out.

Today marks my one year anniversary of MOVING TO VANCOUVER. I cannot believe that a year has flown by so quickly already. It feels like just yesterday I was packing up my life in Halifax and hopping on a West Jet flight bound for YVR.
My first year in Vancouver has been quite wonderful, and it has definitely helped me to decide that it is only the first of many years to come. A lot has happened in the past year, and today I want to take a few minutes to share some of my favourite photographic memories from Year ONE in Vancouver.
I could write a long entry about what my first year in this city has been like, or I can just skip to the fun part (the photos)… clearly I’m going to opt for the more fun option. Basically all of these pictures were taken with my blackberry, but some were taken with my imac camera (photo booth all the way!!), or my canon. Enjoy!!!
Warning: Dear future clients, please be aware that all of these pictures just prove how fun I am, and I promise that we’ll have fun while I’m photographing you.

Some pictures from my trip to Victoria last summer.

Random blackberry pictures from last summer.

Snapshots from my blackberry of a few concerts that Amanda and I have attended in the past year.

Some ticket stubs!

1. Mom & I. 2. Peak to Peak Gondola ride at Whistler. 3. Fireworks last summer. 4. Early morning in the downtown financial district. 5. 50 yard line seats at the Vanier Cup game. 6. Dolphin show at the Vancouver Aquarium.

1. Water confuses me sometimes. 2. I like to have awkward dance parties. 3. My mom will be so happy about how beautiful I am. 4. Santa is the man. 5. I like Rudolph… and jazz hands. 6. Sorry mom, hahaha.

I love drinks. In all size, shapes, colours, and types. mmmm drinks.![]()

This year I had the pleasure of photographing some truly BEAUTIFUL people!! <3

Leah is STUNNING. She could seriously be a model. Look at her!!

Amanda Amanda Amanda. I’m so lucky to have such a beautiful friend to photograph!

Karm & Priya. What gorgeous looking people. Loved this shoot.

Sometimes I like to stop and photograph things around me. These were a couple of ‘test’ shots that I liked.

Oh, Amanda. You’re beautiful.
Yogi is so handsome. He was so easy to photograph, and look at how photogenic he is!
Well, that concludes a peek at what my first year in Vancouver looked like, through my various lenses. I hope that you enjoyed the pictures, and please feel free to leave comments !
p.s. Halifax, despite my love for Vancouver, I miss you lots.

Wow. I am TERRIBLE with updating my blog. I’m really trying to correct this, I promise.
Last week, Amanda and I headed to one of our favourite little coffee shops, Coffee Bar, in Gastown to snap a few pictures. This is a personal project that I’ve been wanting to do for a while. Here is a little sneak peek, with a full blog post coming in a few days. Enjoy, and let me know what you think!

Last weekend my friend, Amanda, and I decided that we wanted to get into the Christmas spirit and decided to do a ‘lame’ bus tour. We bought the bus tour on groupon last month and we were about to get it for 50% (that’s my kind of deal)! We bundled up with our holiday drinks from Starbucks and boarded the bus full of children, and seniors – we were definitely the only 20-somethings on the bus… haha. The bus driver drove us around downtown to show us a few impressive Christmas light displays and then we headed to VanDusen Botanical Gardens. Wow. That is really the only word to summarize what VanDusen looked like. It was such a spectacular light show, and not at all what I was expecting. I went into it not expecting much more than a few strands of light strung from the trees in the garden, but was pleasantly surprised when we arrive and discovered that the garden was transformed into a Christmas wonderland! There aren’t a lot of ways to explain what we saw, so I thought it would be best to show you…

Ironically enough, this picture of Amanda was the last one that I took at VanDusen. It’s my favourite though – so I thought it deserved to be at the beginning of this post.
